Resident Evil: Revelations follows BSAA agents Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani as they investigate the disappearance of their partners Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawat after a bioterrorist attack by the shadowy organization Il Veltro on the Mediterranean city of Terragrigia, leading them aboard the Queen Zenobia cruise ship and into remote installations, where they confront Ooze creatures infected by the T-Abyss virus and work to unravel a conspiracy that threatens global security.
— “Resident Evil Revelations is a great entry in the legendary survival-horror series and a great fit for the Nintendo Switch. The cruise ship setting is fantastic, and arguably the series’ best since the mansion found in the original. My only complaints are that the campaign felt a little short and the series has lost some of its puzzle/survival elements since the earlier titles.” — Switch Player
— “This is a honed, condensed Resident Evil experience that harks back to the claustrophobic corridors and overt lock and key puzzles of the earlier games. Regular protagonist Jill Valentine takes point on this one as she investigates a mutant-infested cruise ship. The Queen Zenobia is a worthy and refreshing fill-in for the haunted mansions that have become such a series staple.” — Nintendo Life
— “A strange mixture of horror-driven exploration and wave-based action makes the game feel off-balance and unfocused, and an unbelievably awful story with even worse characters made me fatigued with it very quickly.” — RelyOnHorror
