The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (PlayStation 5) is a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, and published by Activision. Released on November 14, 2025, it is the latest main entry in the long-running Call of Duty franchise and the eighth installment in the Black Ops sub-series.
Set in the year 2035, the story follows JSOC operative David Mason as the world collapses into psychological and technological warfare. The return of extremist figure Raul Menendez triggers global instability, while a powerful organization known as The Guild emerges with its own agenda to control global security.
The campaign introduces a more experimental structure than previous entries, featuring a co-op focused story mode that can be played solo or with friends. Missions take players across locations such as futuristic Japan, the Mediterranean, and the massive city of Avalon, blending military action with psychological and sci-fi elements.
Alongside the campaign, the game includes the traditional Call of Duty Multiplayer experience with large-scale competitive matches, and the return of Zombies mode, which continues the series’ round-based survival gameplay with new storylines and enemy types.
