The Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a 3D arena fighting game developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Released on October 11, 2024, it marks the long-awaited return of the classic Budokai Tenkaichi series after more than 15 years.
The game is a faithful evolution of the series’ signature combat system, featuring large-scale, fast-paced battles where characters fight in fully 3D destructible environments. Players can take control of iconic fighters from across the Dragon Ball universe, including Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT, with a massive roster exceeding 180+ characters.
The story experience includes episodic battle scenarios and alternative “what-if” situations, allowing players to relive famous anime moments or explore different outcomes depending on their choices. Combat focuses on high-speed movement, energy-based attacks (Ki), transformations, and cinematic ultimate abilities.
