The SmallRig Cage for Sony FX2 is a professional-grade camera rig engineered to provide enhanced protection, flexible accessory expansion, and seamless workflow integration for filmmakers and content creators. Precision-designed specifically for the Sony FX2, the cage offers a secure fit while maintaining unobstructed access to the camera’s buttons, ports, battery compartment, and flip screen. Constructed from durable aluminum alloy, the cage features multiple 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 3/8″-16 ARRI locating holes, a built-in HawkLock NATO rail, and a cold shoe mount for attaching accessories such as microphones, monitors, lights, side handles, and top handles. Its modular slider design includes a detachable top plate that remains compatible with the original XLR top handle while supporting rotating handle accessories for improved shooting flexibility. The cage secures the camera firmly using a bottom 1/4″-20 screw and side M2.5 screws to eliminate unwanted movement and improve shooting stability. An integrated Arca-type quick release plate enables rapid transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups, with compatibility for DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, and RS 4 Pro stabilizers. Additional features such as the HDMI cable clamp, built-in QD strap hole, and magnetic Allen wrench make this cage an ideal all-in-one solution for professional production environments.
